Trying Out Inquiry Ourselves

Once you have played around with the inquiry lesson with Turtle Academy, take a second to reflect on not only what you learned but how you learned it. What did you do or try? How did it feel to learn this why? How did it feel different than other kinds of learning?

When you have some responses to these questions, respond in this topic thread to share your response and respond to your colleagues responses as well.

The activities were engaging and informative, and definitely led me to think about how I would use the commands I had learned to create different shapes. I’m still unsure about how this was an example of inductive, and not deductive, learning, given that I was walked through a series of rules (e.g., to move the turtle forward by 50 steps, type fd 50) and then asked to apply them.
